Johns Hopkins University scientists trying to determine why people develop serious mental illness are focusing on an unlikely factor: a common parasite spread by cats.i knew carmen was up to something and out to destroy much more than just my white couch.
The researchers say the microbes, called Toxoplasma gondii, invade the human brain and appear to upset its chemistry — creating, in some people, the psychotic behaviors recognized as schizophrenia.

but, unfortunately for her, i don't regularly eat her feces or things her feces have touched. although if i were to be infected by her possibly insane-kitty-litter, it won't be the first time i've been attacked by ingesting diseased animal poop.
it's actually a little easier to accidentally eat feces than you'd think. especially if you keep your toothbrush in the bathroom. and use it.
perhaps this is why the craziest girls i've dated always lived with a cat. and perhaps it was carmen who aided my losing of mind and not mr. poopants after all.
or perhaps i just never had a mind to begin with.
one way or another, this is just one more thing that goes on my list of WHY I HATE CARMEN.
