Angry Thursdays

evidently, a team of science-minds spend at least part of their day and paychecks studying the patterns of american moods via twitter. i'm not sure what they're hoping to do with knowledge like... when we're the most upset, but they've been compiling tweets-- or "data"-- over the last three years. and according to them, the west coast is generally happier than east coast-- or at least not using words like "rape" or "suicide" as often, which are some of the words that help the team determines moods-- and everyone is more depressed at noon than after 11pm.

of course something like 70% of everyone is drunk after 11pm and most people are only on their lunch break from work at noon (45% of them are drunk anyway.) and i don't really consider the fact people are happier when they're off work groundbreaking or previously unknown.

what got me is that thursday is the angriest day of the week. probably because it's simply not friday. but i would've still assumed monday to be the angriest.
