Calvin & Hobbes: The Search Engine

my quiet dreams have finally come true. it's things like this that make me proud to be alive during the days of the internet. behold calvin & hobbes: the search engine.

it's not just themed calvin & hobbes the way igoogle can be themed spaceships and foggy mountains-- it is an actual search engine designed to find bill waterson's legendary comic strips by keywords.

for instance, if you search "booger" you will find any comic in which calvin, hobbes, or any of the other characters have said "booger." and, i would like to mention, mr. waterson was quite possibly the first comic illustrator to have the word "booger" published in a newspaper. which makes calvin & hobbes all the more legendary.

while i hate bing with the same semi-healthy passion that drives me to hate other useless things like lukewarm baked beans or people who declare turtles cute, i do have to thank them for the creation of a calvin & hobbes search engine.

i would've expected worse from bing-- like a garfield search engine so you can find all the times he talked about lasagna, or hating mondays, or loved being lazy.
