when i got my new job i promised myself i would find the impossible balance between working hard, creating art, and going out on adventures or drunkxplorations frequently enough to still have something to write about here twice a day.
and i remember thursday's weather report said every single day would be filled with rain except saturday and sunday. i was happy enough to post it on facebook, and i thought maybe the lords of chaos were rewarding me for my efforts.
i don't know how many times i will silently thank the lords of chaos as if they were reaching a non-perverted helping hand in my direction, only to remember that the very concept of chaos goes against being rewarded for good behavior. the lords of chaos don't root for anyone except themselves. that's just how it is.
so it rained.
besides, weather reports are never accurate. and they're even less accurate in san francisco. i think it's like how they say, "those who can't teach teach p.e." except it's "meteorologists who are retarded forecast san francisco."
it definitely rained.
but this was my weekend. or, let me rephrase: this was MY WEEKEND. and nothing was going to ruin that-- not even the lords of chaos.
in fact, the rain made it 58% more awesome. i did the math.
and as i type now, i'm still not entirely sure how to write this post. i guess i'm never quite sure how to write these things. so i took a picture of what new items lived in my pockets by the end of the weekend. it's actually pretty tame compared to some other nights. i mean, this time i didn't have a bacon sandwich in my breast pocket.

due to the issue with fedex and a few other situations, i worked nearly twelve hours on friday. but i still had time to cram food down my neck and meet up with travis and travis to head out for the night.
come to think of it, there were two lauren's on saturday, too.
anyway, after much writing, i have determined this post best as a cliffhanger. there are no twist-endings or chaotic call-backs, it's just it would be too long and do very little justice to the nights if i were to explain now.
so this is all you get for now.
i'll come back to this. friday involved a hostel, saturday was the coolest adventure-driven rainy day i've ever had, capped off with a housewarming party, and sunday was a day of progress and art.
but today is a day of being sure i've had enough sleep to function at work, and keeping blog posts short enough so i know they've actually been read versus typed but left alone.
