1. What is your favourite word?
There are way too many to list, but I'll pick the first three that pop into my head. Okay..."ratchet", "minutiae" and "devilry".
2. What is your least favourite word?
"Like". For obvious reasons.
3. What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
I have no interest in anything spiritual. As for creatively, the obvious choices (writing, reading and music) come to mind.
4. What turns you off?
Willful ignorance. Fox News. Injustice.
5. What is your favourite curse word?
I'll have to side with George Carlin on this one--"Motherfucker". There's a fluidity and rhythm to it that you just can't find with many of its relatives.
6. What sound or noise do you love?
The kind of sound and noise that David Bowie and Tom Waits make.
7.What sound or noise do you hate?
I expect a lot of people will say this, but I can't stand nails on a chalkboard. It's dreadful.
8. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
I don't know, working in a sex shop is kind of hard to top. Writer? Rock star? Rock star writer? Wait, I think Neil Gaiman already holds that honour...
9.What profession would you not like to do?
Anything with a cubicle. Or security--I've done security and let me tell you, it's very easy to lose your soul in security.
10. If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the pearly gates?
"Don't worry, Peter didn't let in the fundamentalists."
