i'm excited for the month of june. so far, i'm enjoying the new apartment and i'm enjoying the idea that only certain people even know where the apartment is-- it's like the batcave in that way. except with better light and a lazy cat.
despite the chaos, may was a great month and what chaos existed only helped make the brilliance of june possible.
actually, may was an amazing street-score month. i managed to find five dollars on the ground, a driver's license, a monthly muni pass and a $20 translink card.
and travis found a $200 fully-operational, scabies-free, ikea bed.
how about that?
anyway, it sounds like may was a rough month for a lot of us-- that transitional period to a somewhat new life or world-- so i do hope that all of your junes are ultra-rad and full of sun and cupcakes and drugs and whatever else makes you happy.
here are some things to look forward to:
national yo-yo day - june 10
national hollerin' contest day - june 16 (you go outside and yell. presumably on your farm.)
world juggler's day - june 17 (so you know, don't go too crazy with yer hollerin' or you won't have any energy left for all the juggling parties.)
international panic day - june 18 (i'm really glad that this one is world-wide, it really makes it more panicky.)
splurge day - june 18 (which is the same day as the international panic day, so i suppose you're meant to panic and then go buy something to calm yourself down. whiskey, perhaps.)
insurance awareness day - june 28 (my guess is this holiday is in direct response to the two holidays prior.)
we've already missed national bubba day (june 2), so get your pants on and let's get a-celebrating this rednecky, circus-filled, financially unstable month!
