A List of the 'ists

the 'ists are fantastic creatures who are very good at one thing-- it is perhaps what they wanted to be their entire life, or perhaps the very reason they exist on earth. and those 'ists take what they are 'isting and do it with a special sort of precision; it's almost like a dance of professionalism or eloquence that cannot-- and should not-- be mimicked by an amateur.

the scientists, the dentists, cyclists, and the artists. the physicists, psychologists, journalists, and even the gynecologists-- they know something we don't and they live their life hoping to uncover even better ways to 'ist.

whether it's with a bicycle or a scalpel, they all create their own wondrous cursive. and whether you hate them (dentists) or love them (journalists), you still respect the science to their art and the art of their science.

but with all that said, why the hell do we call them rapists?

i'm willing to let the inclusion of goofy philanthropists slide, but rapist is entirely unreasonable and fully unacceptable.

especially if the 'ist list manages to exclude amazing people like electrical engineers, photographers, and astronauts.

i recognize that "electrical engineerist" would feel awkward on the tongue and "raper" already means something else, but that doesn't mean we should be excluding brilliantly talented types whilst including rapists on the great list of 'ists.

the suffix "ist" refers to someone with a specialty-- a specialist, if you will. they have moral doctrines and a skill-set profound and well-practiced.

i understand there are a few bends to the 'ist rule (capitalists and such), but there is a difference between being lenient and being straight up retarded.

and with that being fact, rapists have no place on the list of 'ists. to put them on the same list as linguists and chemists is like putting hitler in a jewish preschool. rapists are the outlier of the 'ists; they're like hawaii is to the continental united states except way, way less pleasant and generally never on postcards.

they do not belong with the rest of the 'ists and i would really like one of the linguists to either invent a better word for "rapist" or explain to me how this came about.

p.s. - let's get rid of "racist", too. i grew up respecting the 'ists and my childhood is being shit on here.
