some of you may remember the photo below from months ago. i'd found this nazi scooter in front of my favorite cafe and took a picture because i knew no one would believe there was a swastika-ed helmet in san francisco-- even for hipsters, that's a little too ironic.
anyway, in moving to my new apartment, i've been readjusting my path to work semi-regularly. my goal is to the find the best combination of quick, hill-less, and interesting-- which is surprisingly hard considering my new location.
yesterday, however, i found the nazi scooter. except, this time i found it in front of the owner's apartment building. i walked the same walk today and saw the same scooter again.
while i am all for the expression of everyone's opinions, i do think i will have to draw the line at nazis in san francisco. the rider himself has a huge swastika neck-tat and walks around as if there's nothing wrong.
within the next week, my plan is to make him a nice bumper sticker that reads "I [heart] JEWISH BOYZ" except the heart will be a rainbow-colored star of david.
and in similar news, the 21 year-old white supremacist in tennessee who had planned to assassinate obama is now headed to prison for seven years. and he wants tax-payers to pay for the removal of his nazi tattoos because he's worried it will... well, get raped blindly every day for the next seven years and beaten to death.
naturally there have been light debates about whether or not this kid deserves our aide in removing his tattoos or if he ought to be forced to stick with them and any punishment that follows.
i think everyone is imagining this all wrong.
personally, i would love to pay for his tattoo removal because his fellow white-supremacist prison-mates will hate him for being a traitor and every other prisoner will still hate him.
