it was almost as if my hardwood floor was using all of its strength to blast pheromones in every direction and to all stretches of the world. it's always been a slut in that way.
in fact, it may not just be my current floor, rather all my floors in general. both simon and travis were lured in by the aphrodisiac that is the wood paneling of my old bush and powell studio. they crashed there for two months.
so maybe i'm just prone to floors that whore themselves out to my friends. who knows.
and now, in just one day, i received two messages from two people-- ten minutes apart.
the first was andrew craig, who i know mostly through the days of gimptard, and who will be re-visiting the west and temporarily leaving wisconsin.
my floor called to him like it called to many. and naturally, i allowed it. after all, his crashing at my apartment came with the promise of good conversation and wisconsin beers (which i will hold you to, andrew.)
then, mere moments after talking with him, david prichard messaged me. the both of them via facebook. i know david slightly less than andrew, which means he very well could be an organ thief-- but being an alcoholic and a smoker has rendered me somewhat protected from any of that-- basically, david and i met while i was giving a tour for city sightseeing. he was plastic-bagging a beer with two female friends.
and in exchange for the floor-space, david offered to bring "some english things" which i will assume means beer and company.
it was a true story of carl jung's collective unconscious and flirting floors. the two of them both requested dates that fell exactly on my weekend and promised an interesting experience-- how could i turn that down?
andrew asking if he could crash at my place for two days and david suggesting i will need to put him up for two.
i've always said the only difference between us all is our slang. we all just need some friends, some beer, and occasionally a place to sleep. we may phrase it in different ways, but we are all the same.
and my floor is one sexy beast.
i'm excited and will swiffer for the event-- so andrew and david, keep me updated.
