And I Didn't Even See it Coming

once i'd decided on a soft-cover pocket-sized week-planner, i went to the moleskine website only to discover they had all been sold out. but, courtesy of the digital flea market known as ebay, i was able to snag a soft-covered planner at half the price and double the ease.

unfortunately, as things would go, my days got chaotic and i completely forgot which day i was meant to receive the package. it sort of made me wish i had some kind of planner to write all of my important dates down. maybe that way i wouldn't have come home to this:

i know what you're going to say, but it's not ironic. it sucks, but it's not ironic. what would be ironic is if i received the planner and all the dates were so wrong that they ruined my plans forever. but that would mostly just suck, too.

now that i think of it, i did once pose as a travel agent and lie to a calendar-creating lady about how her improperly dated month of july caused me to lose thousands of dollars in clientele money and ruin a family vacation. shoot, and i never remembered to apologize to her or tell her it was all just a joke.

maybe i deserve this. but it's still not ironic. it just sucks even more.

okay, first things first: when i get my planner, i am going to write down "apologize to eleanor" on march 12th and set things straight.

i just hope i remember to write that in the planner.
