there have been a few changes actually. they're all pretty subtle, but i think they're for the better.
oddly enough, it was also andy who asked if clicking the links within my posts had to force him to leave the current post, and whether or not there was a way to get an rss feed of this blog. since then, i've thrown in a target tag to make links pop open a new tab and leave the original post waiting to be finished-- rather than disappearing entirely like before. eh? eh? how about that for magic?
i'd like everyone to click the links in my posts and according to my tracker, practically no one ever does. you should. i mean if you've just stumbled across this blog and you're reading what i'm writing, i'm confident you have no fucking clue what's going on here. some of the links are explanations. and the rest of the links are generally to friends' blogs, art, nonsense, etc-- which you should be checking out because i hang out with those fools and they are, automatically, rad by association.
and now those links won't take you away from this page-- which is double-rad.

oh, and it turns out there is an rss feed right here. it seems pretty basic, but you won't be able to see videos if i post them. and it's also a little heavy on advertisements. but hopefully this is a good start toward what you were looking for, andy.
and tk-mochas suggested i create an app that texts people when a new post is up-- which is simply too futuristic for me, and a little awkward-- but i did find that blogger will allow me to enter up to ten people as the email them when i have updated people. we can start there if any of you are really interested-- just leave your email in the comments. if there is actually more than ten people interested in being sent updates, we can work out some other saucy solution soon enough i'm sure.
i'm goofishly flattered to hear these types of feedback. and i'm equally excited that this is the first time in the two-year history of this blog that my hits are rising while i am not in the middle of quitting a job. that's kind of nice.
the talk of shorter posts, however, is a hard one. some people prefer precise, and other prefer a scatter-brained one-shotter. it's really a toss up and i doubt i'm going to learn how to type/talk/poop less. but perhaps, there will be slightly fewer prolix posts full of sentences hung like black men. and, in exchange, more strange metaphors that make up for the quicker story.
but who knows.
let me know what you like. lemme know how you want it, sweet thang. and i'll do what i can. i'm flexible.
anyway, i recognize this post hardly counts as a story of chaos or entertainment, but i really do appreciate the feedback. it's rare i hear much more than "you're wrong and here's why" and it's even rarer that the "here's why" doesn't relate to grammar, typos, or how my work-ethic is all wrong. this is the kind of feedback i dig.
i'll mail your award if you send me your address, andy.
p.s. - i've been receiving a very high number of google hits because people are looking to hear about city sightseeing's employees suing andrew smith over lack of proper breaks and overtime pay. i want to say i called it.
p.p.s. - happy pi day. go get some $3.14 pie.
