Dear Edward

while in san jose, i found a driver's license on the ground. i can't say i know what it's like to lose a driver's license because i've never had one, but the story goes it's horrible.

i thought i'd return the card to its rightful owner, except i was worried that would be terribly impersonal and insensitive.

so i wrote my new friend a letter.

the letter and license were sent out two days ago and if i don't receive a response in the next three days, eddie can expect a followup letter and second invitation for ice cream. he might not understand this: we're friends now.
