They Said it Couldn't Be Done

sweet sweaty success! travis and i carried my antique door (former coffee table and current art piece) up the hills of nob being tickled gently by the summer fog and-- more importantly-- completing the absolute last trip from the old apartment and to the new.

it's done.

my room-- with doors (both functional and superficial!)

and i never realized what a fine line there is between moving and straight up being homeless. especially when it comes down to recycling your trash can of crushed beer cans and a box-full of jameson bottles (8.1 gallon's worth, actually).

i'm going to miss this irish army.

look, in the back of my mind, i never thought we'd get this all done by june 1st. i'm a big fan of acting like i'm not too worried about anything-- especially in the face of chaos-- because i'm not too sure panicking does much more than waste all the coffee you've drank. but this was one of the most hectic, impossible moves i've ever encountered.

we expressed interest in this place may 8th and, after an encyclopedia of paperwork, we were given the keys: may 28th.

that left us with four days to move-- all of which i would be working from 2-11pm and three of which simon would be working 3-11pm.

thank god for travis, thank god for dollies, thank god for coffee and thank god for techboy who happened to be moving at the same time.

and thank. god. it's finally over.
