Are any of my readers fans of South Park, and/or Matt Stone & Trey Parker in general? If so, listen up.
Their newest work is a full on broadway musical about Mormons! This combines their historic love of:
i) Musicals
ii) Mormons
Seems fitting.
Uber fans may already own Cannibal! The Musical and Orgazmo, both of which are heavily focussed on Mormonism. And of course there is the infamous South Park episode...
The Book of Mormon has been getting amazing reviews thus far.
Anyways, here's a couple of videos for your leisure, the first being a short interview with Matt & Trey and the second being their appearance on Letterman.
They were also on The Daily Show just a few nights ago (March 10th), but Viacom pulls down that sort of footage off of YouTube faster than you can say "Plates of Nephi!".
I can't wait until this is inevitably filmed for Blu-Ray/DVD and materializes as an official soundtrack.
